Mikael Nilsson
Member of the orchestra since 2006.
Mikael Nilsson has been a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2006. He studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm under Mark Schrello and has previously performed with an array of Sweden’s professional orchestras, including Stockholms Läns Blåsarsymfoniker (Stockholm County Wind Player Symphony), the Nordic Chamber Orchestra in Sundsvall and the Folkoperan Orchestra.
Mikael is from Rödeby outside of Karlskrona, where he performed in the music school’s orchestra under the baton of legendary brass instrument profile and school orchestra conductor Kjell Okmark. He shares this experience with his trumpet section colleague, Michael Streiffert.
