Anders Haag
Member of the orchestra since 2004.
Anders Haag has played percussion and timpani with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2004. Prior to this, he played with the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra, Stockholms Läns Blåsarsymfoniker (the Stockholm County Wind Ensemble) and the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra.
He is also active as a chamber musician in various contexts and in different musical genres. As a member of the chamber music group Heavy Breeze Ensemble, he has focused on cross-genre sound art music by Frank Zappa and more.
Anders Haag also plays in the percussion ensemble Glorious Percussion, which gave the world premiere of Sofia Gubaidulina’s piece for percussion ensemble and orchestra in Gothenburg in September 2008. The ensemble is also named after the title of that piece, Glorious Percussion, and has performed it several times since, including with the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also participated in Konserthuset’s chamber music subscriptions the Philharmonic Up-Close and Soup Concerts.
