Maria Frankel
Member of the orchestra since 2017.
Maria Frankel has been a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2017. She studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm under Håkan Ehrén and Michael Karlsson, and continued her studies for two more years, 1999–2001, under Vincent Pasquier at the Conservatoire CRR in Paris.
Maria was hired the following year by the Västerås Sinfonietta and in parallel with her position, she freelanced and performed with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Swedish Orchestra and other professional Swedish orchestras. With the Västerås Sinfonietta, she has appeared as the soloist in Bottesini’s Double Bass Concerto in B Minor.
