Jonathan Bauer
Member of the orchestra since 2023.
Jonathan Bauer studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with Fredrik Ekdahl (leader of the orchestra’s bassoon section) during 2019–22. He also took lessons in contrabassoon with the section member Johan Segerman.
Already ahead of his graduation, he won an audition at the Gothenburg Opera in the spring of 2022. He worked there in the autumn of 2022 before landing the position with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, with a trial year during 2023.
Jonathan Bauer has also played with the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony and the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
