Six concerts that begin early and have short runtimes: one hour with no intermission. Here, you'll find a perfect blend of familiar pieces and surprises – the music you didn't know you’d love.

Packed concerts midweek, featuring seasoned masters like Herbert Blomstedt and younger maestros like Víkingur Ólafsson. Get to know Chief Conductor Ryan Bancroft of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra even better.

Clusters of masterpieces. Torsdag Stor is the series featuring a multitude of the most beloved works from music history, the music we eagerly listen to time and time again. Additionally, music by Sir James MacMillan in the International Composer Festival.

Be there when it happens! Chief Conductor Ryan Bancroft's first encounter with the Royal Stockhollm Philharmonic Orchestra for the season – in Mahler's monumental Third Symphony. This series also features several of the finest soloists of our time.

Begin the season in the company of our Artist-in-Residence, the fantastic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson, who will be the soloist in Brahms' beloved First Piano Concerto. There’s also a unique opportunity to hear the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra on their own – without a conductor.

Majestic masterpieces. Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio, two symphonies by Mahler – soprano Christina Nilsson is the vocal soloist in the Fourth Symphony – and a symphony by the bicentennial celebrant Bruckner.

Baroque music, romantic pieces, and brand-new compositions. The series may be called Lördag Liten (”Saturday Small”), but the mix is extensive! Norwegian star pianist Leif Ove Andsnes is the soloist in a classic's classic – Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto.

Ken Peplowski and his ensemble. On tenor saxophone and vocals: the phenomenal Camille Thurman with her band. And finally: Dee Dee Bridgewater.

The robot Baltic tells us how we can better care for the environment. With Mosaikteatern, we embark on a space adventure, and Ludde B makes a comeback to teach us more about Beethoven's music. Close to Christmas, there will be a sing-along with the entire audience!

The string quartet may be the most popular form of intimate chamber music – ever since Haydn’s day. On six Saturdays, we encounter some of the world’s foremost quartets.

45-minute mini lunchtime concerts with the country’s leading organists performing on Konserthuset’s enormous organ – with 6,100 pipes! Music by Johann Sebastian Bach of course, but how does I Got Rhythm sound on the organ, or a tango?

In Monday at Last, violinist Cecilia Zilliacus and cellist Kati Raitinen create original programmes in consultation with elite Swedish and international guest musicians. The variety is vast, and there's an important rule: never to perform a piece more than once.
