The seminar is held in Swedish.

15.00 Welcome and introduction by Konserthuset Stockholm and the music consultants from Region Stockholm.

15.10 Conversation with the summer musicians. They will share their experiences and the significance of their summer job at Konserthuset Stockholm.

15.20 Classical Music for Adults and Babies. Pianist Natalie Gourman Syberg will talk about a chamber music concert she is doing with 1-2 musicians in collaboration with the Konserthuset Stockholm during the autumn, aimed at adults with babies. The purpose is to push the boundaries of what audience chamber music can be suitable for.

15.40 Women of the Blues. Musicians Eva-Mi Ringqvist and Elin Öberg will perform parts of an interactive inspirational concert about the blues genre and its female pioneers, featuring harmonica, vocals, and percussion. Examples from music history will be interspersed with original music by the duo. They will also discuss the challenges and successes of female musicians on a male-dominated scene, based on their own experiences from the Swedish blues scene.

16.00 The Sense Experiment. Director Anita Santesson will talk about a music residency in Botkyrka, where the performance "The Sense Experiment" was developed, inspired by conversations with children. Classically trained cellist Kristina Winiarski and deaf actor Romel Belcher will take us on an experiment about the human ability to perceive the world. Using music, sign language, and social haptics, they will explore how our five senses interact and influence our lives. What are our senses? How do they work? What happens if one sense doesn’t function?
