Royal College of Music Edsberg – Gala Concert

External organiser: Kungliga Musikhögskolan

Welcome to a gala concert in the Grünewald Hall featuring students and teachers from the Royal College of Music’s renowned chamber music programme at Edsberg Manor.

The programme includes several of the most beloved gems of the classical repertoire, performed by teachers, award-winning alumni, students, and a large chamber orchestra. The evening features music by Mozart, Boulanger, Brahms, Debussy, Grieg, Shostakovich, and Stravinsky.

Your host for the evening is Stefan Forsberg, former Executive Director of Konserthuset Stockholm.

The music programme at Edsberg Manor in Sollentuna was founded in 1959 under the name “Sveriges Radios Musikskola” (Swedish Radio Music School) and has, from the very beginning, focused particularly on chamber music. More than 600 string players and pianists have been trained here, many of whom have gone on to distinguished careers as soloists, chamber musicians, orchestral musicians, and educators. Since 1999, Edsberg has been part of the Royal College of Music and annually welcomes 25–30 students from all over the world.
