Manuel García
Meet Singer-songwriter Manuel García is one of the foremost Chilean artists of recent decades.
Singer-songwriter Manuel García is one of the foremost Chilean artists of recent decades, acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. His successes in the poetic song tradition and Latin American trova are unparalleled. García has triumphed on stages in Chile and internationally, including at major events such as the Festival de Viña del Mar and Lollapalooza.
His career includes ten studio albums, live records and special editions. He has worked with international artists, including Pedro Aznar, Silvio Rodríguez and Lenine, Chilean stars such as Mon Laferte and Los Bunkers, and Peruvian star Eva Ayllón.
In 2004, after five years on stage and three albums with the band Mecánica Popular, Manuel García launched his solo career with the album Pánico (2005). It is a tribute to the great Chilean troubadours, Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara and Patricio Manns, with poetic, social and romantic songs that reflect on Chilean and Latin American history.
“An album of remarkable beauty, careful and thorough, with stunning songs inspired by the trova tradition,” wrote journalist Iván Valenzuela in Rolling Stone.
With great pride, we present Manuel García in Grunewald Hall at Konserthuset Stockholm.
