Glenn Miller Orchestra – A Tribute to the Maestro

Even 80 years after the disappearance of Glenn Miller, his music is played worldwide. We are celebrating that fact with a special tribute concert for our founder.

In just four years, Glen Miller launched 23 number one hits – more than Elvis and The Beatles. With a unique sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered one of the most successful big bands of all time. 1 March 2024 marks the 120th anniversary of Glenn Miller’s birth. Throughout the programme, bandleader Jan Slottenäs talks about Glenn Miller’s life in between songs.

Glenn Miller Orchestra Scandinavia formed in 2010 with a license from Glenn Miller Productions, Inc., New York, USA and regularly tours Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Led by trombone player Jan Slottenäs, the orchestra is based in Stockholm and includes several younger musicians from Sweden’s jazz elite. Internationally, the ensemble is considered by many to be the leading Glenn Miller orchestra.
