Philharmonic Day – As They Flutter About

Composer Jenny Hettne has created this music in collaboration with Robert Ek, who plays bass clarinet to electronic sounds. The music begins in the very darkest register of the bass clarinet, but later begins to shimmer and flutter about. Playfulness unfolds between the bass clarinet and the electronic sounds, and sometimes the sounds switch places – the instrument sounds electronic, and the electronics sound like a bass clarinet.
