Symphonia

Tomas Ledin has written songs that are eternally etched in the musical memories of much of the Swedish population. In the Symphonia project, his music is presented with a new twist with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. 

With a 50-year career, Tomas Ledin is one of Sweden’s most popular musicians. He is behind some of the biggest Swedish hits, with songs like Sommaren är kort (Summer is Short) and En del av mitt hjärta (A Part of My Heart). 

To top off this year’s celebration of his 70th birthday in February, in November he takes the stage at Konserthuset Stockholm alongside the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The audience gets to enjoy his top hits, as well as a less familiar repertoire in new orchestral arrangements that create space for entirely new interpretations of the music. 

The new arrangements were created by composer, conductor and producer Peter Nordahl, who also leads the concert. Nordahl’s credentials include numerous genre-crossing collaborations, for example with Sven-Bertil Taube, Miss Li, Lisa Ekdahl, Agneta Fältskog and Björn Skifs.
