Summer musicians: Bluesette kvintett
From heartbreaking ballads to swinging bebop.
The jazz quintet Bluesette Quintet’s repertoire contains both self-composed and music from ”The Great American Songbook”. From heart breaking ballads to swinging bebop – Bluesette Quintet has influences from many places: Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Horace Silver, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock and more. The quintet consists of Morgan Lindgren tenor saxophone, Benjamin Sällström trumpet, Tuva Järvheden Bergenheim drums, Anton Tancredi double bass and Elmer Stenlund piano.
Every summer since 2010, Konserthuset Stockholm employs young summer musicians to give concerts during the summer season. This year, there are six ensembles, selected after audition, with music students aged 16–19 who five times a day offer varied music in the genres of classical, jazz or vocal in Konserthuset Stockholm’s entrance foyer towards Hötorget. The concerts are about 20 minutes long with free entrance.
In collaboration with the Stockholm Region.
