New Friday – Curious Chamber Players
New Friday with curious musicians, for curious listeners.
Curious Chamber Players is a Swedish ensemble for contemporary music founded in 2003 by composer Malin Bång, and conductor and composer Rei Munakata. The ensemble has garnered significant international attention and regularly participates in contemporary music festivals worldwide.
With an open mind, they tackle everything from the core modernist repertoire to graphic scores, minimalism, electro-acoustic music and improvisations. Exploring new areas is important to the ensemble, which has included video improvisations, drama, meditation, dance, poetry and fragrance in their projects.
Come early, stay late – the bar will be open before and after the concert with drinks and appetizers.
Curious Chamber Players consists of Hannah Törnell Wettermark flute, Dries Tack clarinet, Magdalena Meitzner percussion, Frederik Munk Larsen guitar, Ylva Larsdotter violin, My Hellgren cello, Rei Munakata conductor and Malin Bång composer.
