The performance Ingjutet i mitt hjärta (Embedded in My Heart) is a dream fantasy inspired by the life of Antonia Bembo. Antonia Bembo (1640–1720) left a violent and unfaithful man for a life as a composer in France in the court of the Sun King. But what did she sacrifice on her way there?
Konserthuset is beginning a collaboration with Operabyrån. Operabyrån was formed in 2010 by soprano Christina Larsson Malmberg and Baroque violinist Catalina Langborn. The performance unifies Baroque music with subjects that are both relevant and urgent today, and women from history are lifted out of the shadows.
Inspired by Bembo’s own music and destiny, Operabyrån has created a striking performance about passion. Bembo’s arias and music by Jacquet de la Guerre are tied together by a Swedish libretto by Emma Broström and newly composed electronic music by Mattias Petersson. Embedded in my Heart premiered in 2016 and has toured Sweden and Europe.
