Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) was one of the greatest geniuses in music history and remains one of the most performed and beloved composers to this day. He was born in Salzburg and began composing as a child under the guidance of his father, Leopold Mozart. Mozart toured Europe’s courts as a child prodigy and became known for his extraordinary musical talent. His works encompass over 600 compositions, ranging from operas and symphonies to chamber music and solo concertos. Despite his immense musical legacy, he led a turbulent life marked by financial difficulties and health problems. Mozart passed away at just 35 years old, but his music continues to live on and inspire generations around the world.
