Festivals

We love festivals! At the annual Composer Festival, we present today’s most prominent composers. At spring’s Composer Weekend, we highlight our country’s most exciting artistry. In addition, we arrange special festivals that echo throughout the music world – such as the 2010 Mahler Festival and the 2015 Sibelius/Nielsen Festival.

Most concert seasons include three festivals – at least! From the annual composer festivals to our chamber music weekend with young, up-and-coming musicians: Rising Stars.

It was born as a unique and controversial idea in the mid-1980s, but still survives today and is among the true flagship events for Konserthuset and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
