Second Concertmaster

The audition takes place at Konserthuset, Stockholm on June 16-17 2025, after personal invitation. Candidates currently holding a permanent position as concertmaster or 2nd concertmaster in a professional orchestra qualify directly to the main audition. All other candidates are kindly asked to submit a video recording to qualify for the audition.

  Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Violin Concerto No 3, 4, or 5 first movement exposition without cadenza, with piano accompaniment

Please record and supply the repertoire in two videos: One with the solo concerto and one with all the orchestral excerpts. Each video should be recorded in one take without any cuts or edits and the orchestral excerpts should be recorded in the order above. The applicant should remain in frame for the duration of the recording. We recommend the usage of an external microphone for sound quality purposes. The orchestra tunes in A=442 Hz.

Deadline for the video recording is April 25 and the invitation to the main audition will be sent out on May 5.
